Energy Solutions is a registered trademark
U.S. Energy Solutions, an energy efficiency non profit organization, was created to help America become more energy independent. Green Energy Outlet/Reducing Energy Demand Mission is to educate homeowners about green energy solutions and how they can reduce their energy use and household grid dependence by providing high-quality, affordable, energy-efficient goods with expert customer service. This non profit organization is a division of the non-profit Consumer Energy Association (CEA). The mission of this organization is to connect consumers with energy solutions that save them money while improving the environment. In addition, Energy Solutions is a registered trademark of the consumer energy association.
In partnership with a number of state and municipal agencies and organizations, ERS provides educational and consulting services to help property owners understand and implement energy solutions that reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions across all home sizes. The goal of ERS is to elevate the energy efficiency standards for commercial and residential buildings through an integrated, collaborative effort. This nonprofit organization works closely with its customers, state and municipal regulatory agencies, landlords and managers, and other stakeholders to create and evaluate energy solutions that will reduce energy costs and emissions across the life of the building. The primary focus of ERS is on reducing energy consumption.
renewable energy solutions
In addition to educating the customer on energy efficiency, ERS also helps to reduce energy consumption through various strategies including energy management and climate control, renewable energy solutions, and energy retrofits. For example, a commercial property manager may implement an energy management plan that coordinates with the cooling and heating costs of the property. A renewable energy management plan can reduce the energy consumption of a facility by utilizing on-site solar energy, on-site wind energy, or a combination of on-site energy resources. Similarly, an ERS provider may perform energy retrofit projects that reduce energy consumption during times of peak usage and/or provide backup systems to mitigate any potential adverse impacts of abrupt changes in the temperature of air conditioners, heaters, and refrigerators.
With the global population expected to reach nearly 9 billion in the next 25 years, the need for advanced energy solutions is greater than ever. Energy efficiency initiatives can play a significant role in reducing emissions across the supply chain. Not only can ERS reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions across the supply chain, but the initiatives can also increase building durability and productivity, and thereby positively impact an organizations bottom line. To be most effective, energy management and renewable energy solutions must be implemented at every level of the supply chain. While some organizations may achieve reductions in energy consumption through their own efforts and through a combination of tools, these programs will only be successful if the entirety of the supply chain takes energy efficiency seriously.
both energy use and greenhouse gas emissions
To implement energy efficiency in the supply chain, several factors must be considered. First, the energy optimization strategy should address the key issues that affect energy consumption. These include: energy consumption trends, fluctuations in the economy, and access to energy. Other issues that should be considered are waste and climate change, which can affect both energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. Implementing energy solutions that address these key issues can reduce energy costs and improve the likelihood of meeting future objectives.
Energy management strategies should also promote the development of sustainable infrastructure. This includes the use of clean energy, such as wind power, geothermal energy, and solar power, to name a few. Energy efficiency can also reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality. Through a combination of clean energy solutions and advanced technologies, ERS can significantly reduce emissions across the supply chain.
